AI is being trained on the artwork of human artists, without their permission. Thereby breaching copyright law...
Copyright law is in place to protect people's work and to stop others from using it without permission. This includes “making an adaptation of your work”. AI generated “art” that is being trained on artists work should therefore be classed as breaching copyright, and any company or person who believes that using an 'opt out' tag is good enough is condoning theft.
Contrary to the image, I don't have an issue with AI generated artwork. Only how AI art is currently being generated. If AI art was created via data sets that have been created WITH the artists permission, as an opt-in model, then it would get my full support.
